Hello Friends,

Join us this Sunday as our new priest-in-charge, Canon Rick O’Brien, gives the sermon at the 9:30 a.m. service.

WEEKLY EVENTS

9:30 Sunday Service Choir Rehearsal is on Thursdays at 7 p.m.

Adult Bible Study is on Sundays at 10:50 a.m. in Room 3, discussing the Sunday Gospel reading.

Tuesday Book Study resumes Tuesday, September 10 at 12:30 in the Parish Hall.

WORK DAYS

We need some help repairing and cleaning up our buildings and grounds. Join us on Saturday mornings, September 14 and 28 from 8 a.m. until noon.

STREET TEENS

Rick and Liz go to the Street Teens location on the third Wednesday of each month to take the supplies we have donated. Some of the current needs are tuna packets, spam, beef jerky, corn nuts, chips, fruit rollups, Nutella, Q-tips, men’s belts, and super glue. There is a complete list posted on the shelves at church.

ALTAR FLOWERS

You can celebrate a special event or commemorate a loved one by donating an Altar Arrangement for a specific week. The cost is $90. Contact the office at least two weeks before your chosen date. We will order the flowers, and you can take them home after the Sunday services.

FOOD PANTRY

We have a small food pantry with an assortment of canned goods, pasta, cereal, etc. Donations of non-perishable foods are welcome. At this time, we have quite a few cans of vegetables, but very little pasta and cereal.

NEEDLERS

Talk to Maria Ipharr (702-306-6759) about this ministry that makes fabric and yarn crafts for needy people.

OKTOBERFIESTA, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5

We need to plan Oktoberfiesta! We will need volunteers in the kitchen, volunteers to set up, volunteers to clean up after the event, and raffle baskets.
