Staying away will not bring Fr. Rafael back. Fr. Rafael chose to quit on his own. No one at All Saints asked him to leave. The leadership has done all that is possible to leave the door open for his return if and when he chooses but he is the only one that can make that decision. It is all our hope that when he has had time away to heal from his physical and spiritual pain, he will return to lead us.

In the meantime it is up to all of us to keep the community whole and growing. We need to be faithful to the vision of a single multicultural community that celebrates and grows together. In this way there will be a community waiting if Rafael decides to return.

Me gustaría recordarles a todos que la iglesia no es el rector ni el sacerdote a cargo, ni ninguno de los clérigos ni el obispo. La iglesia es el pueblo. El curch es la comunidad formada por el amor mutuo y el propósito común. La iglesia son las relaciones que formamos a través de tiempos difíciles y fáciles.

Mantenerse alejado no traerá al Fr. Rafael de vuelta. Fr. Rafael decidió renunciar por su cuenta. Nadie en All Saints le pidió que se fuera. El liderazgo ha hecho todo lo posible para dejar la puerta abierta para su regreso si y cuando lo desea, pero él es el único que puede tomar esa decisión. Esperamos que cuando haya tenido tiempo de curarse de su dolor físico y espiritual, vuelva a guiarnos.

Mientras tanto, depende de todos nosotros mantener a la comunidad entera y en crecimiento. Tenemos que ser fieles a la visión de una sola comunidad multicultural que celebre y crezca juntos. De esta manera, habrá una comunidad esperando si Rafael decide regresar.
