In the heart of Jesus meek and humble, we find the perfect balance between self-esteem and humility: self-esteem, because we are loved unconditionally, which means that, at the core of our being, we are good and valuable; but also humility, because we know we are not perfect, we have to humbly acknowledge our limits, our sins.
But the latter is not a humiliation that destroys us, but the certainty that we can improve, that there are in us unexplored possibilities.
And our great possibility, if we learn from Jesus, is love: to know that when we try to love, God Himself is working in us and that He remains with us.
So be it.
En el corazón de Jesús manso y humilde, encontramos el perfecto equilibrio entre la autoestima y la humildad: autoestima, porque somos amados sin condiciones, lo que significa que, en el fondo de nuestro ser, somos buenos y valiosos; pero también humildad, porque sabemos que no somos perfectos, que tenemos que reconocer con humildad nuestros límites, nuestros pecados.
Pero esto último no es una humillación que nos destruye, sino la certeza de que podemos mejorar, de que hay en nosotros posibilidades no exploradas.
Y nuestra gran posibilidad, si aprendemos de Jesús, es el amor: saber que cuando tratamos de amar, Dios mismo está obrando en nosotros y que Él permanece con nosotros.
