All Saints’ will be serving dinner for Family Promise on Feb. 27 -Feb 27 - Monday, Feb
27. Grace in the Desert is hosting the families.
Rev. Whitfield will provide the main dish of Pork Lion and Ribs. We will need: salad, side dishes, desert and juices. We’ll need bread for sandwiches, so they can make lunch for Tues.
Bottled water for Tues and some fruit and cookies would be nice. If you are unable to join us at Grace but would like to contribute, GREAT. Let Rev. Whitfield, or Deacon Gustafson, know and we will pick up your food item(s).
Rev. Whitfield will be at Grace by 4:30 to set-up and heat up any foods that need heating or cooking. Folks willing to help set up tables, chairs and place settings please come at 4:30. The families return at 5:00. Once everyone is accounted for, we will serve dinner and join our families to eat. Following dinner, we need to clean up the kitchen, dishes, and re-stack the tables.
We need one or two people that are willing to sleep at church for the night, on an air mattress and in a private tent. Lights go out by 9:00 p.m. Grace is looking for someone(s) to loan them cots so that the supervisors don’t have to sleep on the air mattresses if they don’t wish to.
