Fr. Ed & Debbie, and Bernardo and Dolores Iniesta Avila
attended "Nuevo Amancer" - An Episcopal Church Hispanic Ministry conference.

The conference was attended by over 200 people from all
over the continental US and Central and South America who are doing ministry in
Hispanic communities or multi cultural congregations (such as All Saints')
The Most Reverend Katharine Jefferts Schori was the
preacher for the opening Eucharist and The Right Reverend Julio Holguin, Bishop
of the Dominican Republic was the keynote speaker.
Fr. Ed, Dolores, and Bernardo attended workshops on
"Starting a Latino Congregation," "Evangelism," "Episcopal Identity,"
"Worship Music: Cancionero," and "Stewardship." Spanish was the language
for the conference and "real-time" translation was provided for non-Spanish
speakers.
Worship was a lively experience with wonderful music,
singing, dancing, great preaching, and well planned liturgy.
We made some good contacts, gathered some good
resources, learned from other's stories about their ministries, and had the
opportunity to tell the story of Iglesia de Todos los Santos.
