47th Annual Parish Meeting Sunday - January 20, 2008 - 9:15 am - in the church Our annual parish meeting, required by church Canons, to elect members of vestry and delegates to diocesan convention. We will also have an opportunity to review reports from our parish organizations and ministries and a time for questions and comments. A potluck lunch will follow the 10:30 service. The Annual Reports Booklet will be distributed at all services on Jan 12 & 13 to allow members time to review the reports and be able to ask questions and make comments during the meeting. Organization and Ministry leaders need to submit reports to Fr. Ed NLT Monday, Jan 7th for their report to be included in the booklet. The booklet will be posted on this site as soon as it is prepared - there will be a link at the top of this page. Nominations are being accepted for Vestry and Diocesan Convention delegates - Nomination forms are available from the parish office, in the church Narthex, or online through the link above. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, Jan 18 and nominees must attend the annual meeting to remain on the ballot. Vestry - for a 3 year term (5 positions) Willing and able to attend regular monthly meetings (1st Monday at 6:00 pm), special meetings and parish events, and an annual vestry retreat (2008 retreat tentatively scheduled for March 7 thru 9). - Two elections - three positions available by appointment of vestry Qualifications: An adult (age 16 or older) Communicant in Good Standing who made a financial pledge for 2007 & 2008 Diocesan Convention Delegate - Adult (6 positions) Willing and able to attend quarterly Southern Mission District meetings (1st Saturday of Feb, May, Aug, Nov) and Diocesan convention in Elko, NV, October 24 - 26, 2008 - All positions elected Qualifications: An adult (age 16 or older) Communicant in Good Standing Diocesan Convention Delegate - Youth (2 positions) Willing and able to attend quarterly Southern Mission District meetings (1st Saturday of Feb, May, Aug, Nov) and Diocesan convention in Elko, NV, October 24 - 26, 2008 - No nominees - two positions available by appointment of vestry Qualifications: Age 13 - 19 who is regular in worship attendance
